Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) as defined by Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, are a “collection of principles to apply for on-farm production and postproduction processes, resulting in safe and healthy food and non-food agricultural products, while
taking into account economic, social and environmental sustainability.”
The Department of Agriculture, Philippines accredits farmers who complies with the guidelines of the FAO.
In the Cordilleras, we have at least about 200 registered farmers associations and cooperatives.
Online Farmer distributes the products of the GAP accredited farmers and is also working on its own farms to be accredited.
